Day 7, 8 and 9

Due to poor internet access, I have not been able to post anything for a few days. My new pink lap top is working well but have to rely on a good signal....
Day 7 - Ice skating at Edmonton mall - Dave was much better than me but at least I didn't fall over and damage anything. Tiger and Dave also revisited The Mindbender ride - once bitten, twice shy, so I decided to have a manicure instead.
We then collected a car for the remainde of our trip - a Dodge Caravan. Dave can now play a duet with me on the piano - we have a recording to prove it.
Day 8 - We left early to start the 4 hour journey to Jasper. The scenes were awesome and amazing mountains, waterfalls, and greenery that I will never forget. We arrived at our wooden chalet in between pine trees and opposite a lake and white water rapids. Elk freeley roam the roads but not seen any bears yet - they must be with Goldilocks somewhere !
We the took a cable car ride to the top of the mountains, where it was freezing cold and snow on the peaks. The views were amazing and Dave was making good use of his camera and Pam Pam her video.
Day 9 - This morning we took the plunge (and Pam Pam ) and went white water rafting ! We had an instructor and were in a team of 8. It was extremely hard work and I felt like I had done a work out at the gym. Mum was a good sport and very brave and Tiger and Dave were the front paddlers so got the wettest ! Dave even got into the freezing water for a swim and we all agreed that it was fantastic. Mum has now fully recovered.
We then strted our journy to Banff with several stops to view The Athabasca waterfalls and the Atherbasca Glacier.
We are in Banff just tonight and start our treck to Vancouver via Kamloops tomorrow......
